Leaving the earth better than we found it.
Found it.

HopCat has been committed to environmental sustainability since our first location opened in 2008. Up to 90% of our waste is recycled or composted in our local communities.
Sustainability
HopCat and BarFly see sustainability as a connecting theme for our organization.
Not only do we want to sustain our environment, we also strive to:
Sustain our local communities
Sustain our people
Sustain our business model
Yellow Curve

In the US, around 84.3% of unused food in restaurants is thrown away while only 14% is recycled, and only 1.4% is donated. According to Green Restaurant Association, a restaurant can produce up to 25000-75000 pounds of food waste a year.

Our Mission

Our GROW program mission is to support the well-being of our employees while making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work.  We accomplish this by providing volunteer and educational resources centered on encouraging self-reflection, physical health, mental well-being, and social responsibility by advocating for clean and sustainable practices, being stewards of the earth and supporting local organizations who are working towards the same goals.

The Program At Work

This program is employee led at each individual restaurant location with support from the GROW leadership committee at the home office. This approach provides a platform for coworkers to connect, share experiences, and engage in community outreach initiatives aligned with their interests and passions.
